Linseed oil B.P. 3.0% W/W

Diclofenac Diethylamine B.P. 1.16% W/W

Equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium B.P. 1.0% W/W

Menthol B.P. 5.0% W/W

Methyl Salicylate B.P. 10% W/W

Benzyl alcohol (As preservative) B.P. 1.0% W/W

Gel base: Carbomer 934 USP. Propylene Glycol BP. Disodium Edetate BP. Polysorbate 80 BP. Citric Acid BP. Butylated Hydroxytoluene USP.

Properities:

LEURUB is a very commonly used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. LEURUB is a pain relief gel, LEURUB include a powerful pain relieving ingredient. In LEURUB, Linseed oil relieves rheumatic pain, sooths injured tissues. Stimulate the circulation. Diclofenac is used as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, Menthol is used to relief pain. Methyl Salicylate is an irritant to the skin and is used in the musculoskeletal, joints and soft tissue disorders.

Indications:

LEURUB is indicated for the treatment of sprains, strains, bruises, soft tissues rheumatism, LEURUB is a warming non-staining, quick relief gel indicated in aches and pains of joints and muscles associated with arthritis, backaches rheumatism, fibrositis, lumbago, sciatica, stiffneck, as a home treatment for stiff nose, aching feet, tennis elbow, rheumatic pain, bruises and chilblains.

Dosage and administration:

Apply 2-3 times a day to the affected area or As directed by physician.

Gently massage LEURUB. Rub into the affected area until penetration of the gel is compete. Spread LEURUB generously over the area of pain. Using the finger tips of both hands, gently but firmly massage the gel into the skin, Work the finger tips in a circular motion and move outwards from the center of pain to the surroundings area. Continue massage until LEURUB has disappeared completely into the skin, Apply as often as necessary.

Not to be used on children. Discontinue use if excessive irritation occurs.

Adverse Effects:

Commonly found adverse effects with LEURUB are dermatitis. Local irritation, erythema, photosensitivity, pruritus, No serious adverse reactions have been reported with the use of LEURUB.

Contra-indications:

LEURUB is contraindicated in individuals having hypersensitivity to the drug.

Special Precautions:

LEURUB should be used with caution in patients of Vitamin K deficiency, hypothrombinemia, liver disease, before surgery. It is not to be applied on wounds and broken Skin. To be used under medical supervision during pregnancy and lactation. These preparations are for external use only.

As the drugs in topical analgesics may produce irritation they should not be applied near eyes, on mucus membrane or on inflamed skin. LEURUB accidentally comes into contact with the eyes or mouth, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. LEORUB should be used with caution in nursing mothers.

Drug Interaction:

None have been reported on local application. Avoid using other topical medications, harsh or abrasive soaps of cosmetics on the affected area.

Storage:

Store in a cool a dry place.
