Indications:
This product is used for the treatment of colicky pain in biliary and urinary tract, bladder tenesmus, painful spasms in the stomach and intestines, spastic dysmenorrhea, and control of spastic pain during and after instrumental examination.
Contra-indications:
Analgin passes the placental barrier, and should there fore be used during pregnancy, especially during the first 3 rnonths and the last 6 weeks, only after careful consideration of the indications. Analgin was considered to be unsafe in patients with acute porphyria.
Adverse Effects:
Analgin produced an exacerbation of dyspnoea, cyanosis and respiratory arrest,
Agranulocytosis presumed to be due to Analgin Allergic skin reactions.
Administration: It may be given by intramuscular or intravenous injection in doses of0.5gto1.0g.
Precautions & Warning:
It contains metamizole /Analgin which may cause agranulocytosts.
