Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose is non-ionic cellulose ether made by natural high polymer cellulose as raw material and series of chemical processing.
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose / Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose
Brief Introduction:
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose and Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose are non-ionic cellulose ether made by natural high polymer cellulose as raw material and series of chemical processing. They are odorless, tasteless and non-toxic white powder, which can be dissolved in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution. Possessing thickening, binding, dispersing, emulsifying, film coating, suspending, absorbing, gelling, surface activity, water maintaining and protective colloid properties.

In PVC Industry
During the polymerized process of PVC's suspension and polymerization system, the dispersion system is made up of Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) and several kinds of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) that with difference on hydrolysis degree, then the monomer is dispersed into small particles. Using HPMC as the dispersing agent, which can improve the property of suspension and dispersion effectively, and also can improve the morphology of particles and enhanced the absorbing properties of plasticizer.
