The plug and socket used in ?applications in Argentina is defined by IRAM. The applicable standards are: IRAM 2073 & quot;Two poles plugs with earthing contact for domestic and similar purposes, rated 10 A and 20 A, 250 V a.c.& quot; and IRAM 2071 & quot;Two pole socket - outlets with earthing contact for 10 A and 20 A, 250 V a.c, for fixed installations.& quot; It is similar in appearance to the Australasian and Chinese plugs. The pin length is same as the Chinese version. The most important difference from the Australian plug is that the Argentinian plug is wired with the line and neutral contacts reversed.
