3. Applications |
Mode of Action | A kind of neurotoxic substance with strong contact action and the stomach action. Metaldehyde is a kind of molluscicide with highly selective action, which will be soften in the water and lure the snail by special scent. After contacting or feeding, the snail will release a lot of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), which will destroy the special mucus in its body. It will dewater quickly and its nerve will paralyze, until it dies. |

If inhaled. If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration |
In case of skin contact, wash off with soap and plenty of water |
In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 min. |
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. |
