Continuous transposed cable, commonly referred to as CTC, is made by taking a specified number of enameled flat magnet wire strands, and “braiding” them in two rows so that each strand can be of the same exact length. The resulting “braid” is then covered in the required insulating material, usually paper. It is mostly used in the windings of large-scale power transformers.
Libo manufactures CTC with a variety of enamel coatings, and can produce CTC that contains as little as five strands, and as many as forty- seven strands. All CTC is produced to strict customer requirements and specifications.
