IP WatchDog
Description
IP WatchDog monitors the defined function of the remote device on two independent channels (each channel controls just one of the two relays). In case there is a remote device's drop-out, the PC Watchdog activates the relay. This way it is possible to restart the device, shut it down for a specified time or start for example a back-up circuit.
Detection of a remote device's function:
Monitored device receives a PING that is sent regularly by IP Watchdog.
Monitored device sends PING regularly to a IP Watchdog's address.
Monitored device works as a WEB server and in regular intervals provides page on a defined address.
Monitored device requests regularly a page on the defined IP Watchdogs's address.
Detection of a local device's function:
Monitored device sends regularly defined string on a serial RS-232 port.
