Propionate is a testosterone ester used for the treatment of primary hypogonadism ( congenital or acquired ) , testicular failure due to cryptorchidism , bilateral torsion , orchitis , vanishing testis syndrome , or orchidectomy in males .

The testosterone propionate has been prepared in an oily solution and as it is absorbed slowly from the liquid phase when injected intramuscularly . This allows Testosterone 100 to be administered at intervals of 3 - 4 days .100 contains testosterone propionate in a 10ml solution for injection only ( 100mg testosterone propionate / ml ) .

The most common dosage schedule for this compound ( men ) is to inject 50 to 100mg , every day or 2nd day . As with the more popular esters , the total weekly dosage would be in the range of 300 - 700mg . As with all testosterone compounds , this drug is most appropriately suited for bulking phases of training .
