Character: White crystalline powder. Melting point 127-129℃, a hydrate melting point is 77-78 ℃. Easily soluble in water, 0.5% aqueous solution pHO 4.0-5.5. Odorless, bitter taste of hemp.
Usage: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Local anesthetic.

Description:
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is a local anesthetic and is available in generic form. Lidocaine Hydrochloride is indicated to provide the topical relief of pain and discomfort. Some serious side effects can occur if too much is used and may include but are not limited to: drowsiness, numbness of the tongue, and light-headedness.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is available in strength of 20mg/ml. Dosing is variable; it should be given in reduced doses in geriatric over 65 years of age and pediatrics less than 18 years of age and should be used with caution in children younger than two years of age. General dosing of Lidocaine Hydrochloride is used concomitantly with other products containing lidocaine, the total dose contributed by all formulations must be calculated.

Application:
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is used on the skin to stop itching and pain from certain skin conditions (e.g., scrapes, minor burns, eczema, insect bites) and to treat minor discomfort and itching caused by hemorrhoids and certain other problems of the genital/anal area (e.g., anal fissures, itching around the vagina/rectum). Some forms of this medication are also used to decrease discomfort or pain during certain medical procedures/exams (e.g., sigmoidoscopy, cystoscopy).
